CECIL O’FARRELL is the Boulder Police Department Victim Advocate working full-time to help those impacted by the March 22nd, 2021, Boulder King Soopers mass shooting. “In the days that followed the attack I was called to help with the initial response by the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance (COVA).” Cecil provides direct services to all victims, witnesses and community members who wish to access services. She is committed to providing information and ongoing support
to the survivors of this unimaginable act of violence as well as contacting parties who may be of assistance to victims, including, but not limited to friends, family, healthcare professionals, law enforcement officers or legal counsel. She collaborates with other law enforcement agencies, Boulder Mental Health Partners, and the Boulder District Attorney's Office to ensure these victims receive services to support their on-going needs.
